USDA gives $300,000 to W.Va. schools to battle childhood obesity

The USDA presented the West Virginia Department of Education with more than $300,000 in grants to curb obesity and promote physical activity in schoolchildren. The funds will provide training and assistance to school foodservice staff to make school meals healthier, while children will be taught healthy food and lifestyle choices.
