USGBC to launch enhanced 2012 LEED standards in November

The U.S. Green Building Council will launch its LEED 2012 rating system in November. The new standards build on feedback about current LEED standards. Some of the changes include requirements such as reporting real-time data on a building's use of water and energy and recertification every five years for LEED-certified buildings. "Our goal is to show that real leaders share data," says Scot Horst, USGBC Senior Vice President of LEED.
