CEO aims to breathe new life into Country Buffet

Country Buffet and parent Buffets Inc. launched a campaign last week to show off the first of its revamped restaurants in Denver, where updated decor, upgraded dishes and new sections including "Maple St. Bake Shop" and "Anthony's Italian Market" have boosted sales, according to CEO Anthony Wedo. The company plans to spend $300,000 per restaurant to revamp its 343 eateries, which outside of Colorado include the Old Country Buffet, HomeTown Buffet and Ryan's brands.
