The Global Change Institute at the University of Queensland in Australia is "a leader in zero net energy operations" according to this article. The building showcases numerous eco-friendly features, including geopolymer concrete in the precast hydronic floor panels that cool the building. Also of note are the use of design features based on biomimicry and the on-site solar energy sources, a green wall, a bio-retention basin and on-site gray water treatment and rainwater storage systems.
