NYC's 1 WTC: A blend of sustainability, innovation

The 104-story One World Trade Center in New York City was designed to be a sustainable, green building, according to this article. "Green concrete," which uses less water and electricity, was used for the walls. Almost three-quarters of the building was made from recycled materials. Other sustainable features include fuel cell technology as well as rain collection, water-conservation and daylighting systems.
