Roof of Chicago apartment collapses; 60 residents are evacuated

A portion of the roof of a five-story apartment building in Edgewater Beach neighborhood of Chicago collapsed, which led to the evacuation of 60 residents. The cause of the collapse is under investigation, but an initial report indicated that a roofing crew doing repairs may have put too many materials "all in one place, overloading the roof," said Bill McCaffrey, spokesman for Preliminary Buildings Department.
