S. Korea exempts Class I devices from quality system rules

Class I medical devices are exempted from quality management system requirements in South Korea, effective Sept. 16. This means medtech companies may start distributing low-risk products in that country after electronically filing premarket notifications with the Korean Ministry of Food and Drug Safety.
