Sainsbury's to debut 1st store dedicated to online orders

UK supermarket chain Sainsbury's will open its first so-called "dark store" in the next few years, with plans to employ about 375 people in the warehouse set up like a supermarket where workers fill online grocery orders. Rivals Tesco and Waitrose already operate dark stores; Sainsbury's, which is seeing its online grocery sales grow about 15% annually, currently fills its 190,000 weekly orders from its traditional grocery stores.
