US, UK regulators: Even largest banks can be wound down

If necessary, US authorities could safely dismantle the biggest banks in the world, bank regulators from the US and UK say. Art Murton, a Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. official who plans how to take apart complex financial institutions, and Paul Tucker, a deputy governor of the Bank of England, backed that view while speaking at an event in Washington.
