Cerner launches Web project to link diabetic children with their physicians

Electronic health care record provider Cerner, of Kansas City, Mo., has announced a $25 million plan to create a free Web-based system linking families of children with Type I diabetes with their health care providers. The project will allow for the tracking of glucose levels, carbohydrates and insulin injections on a secure Web site that can be accessed by the patient's family and physician.
