Getting the word out to women on breast cancer

Women are being encouraged to get screened for breast cancer, which is the second-leading cancer among women in the U.S., whether or not they have a history of the disease. Many women are reluctant to get a mammogram or have a clinical breast exam because of the potential ramifications of the disease, but health experts say women need to take control of their own health issues, not just sit in the dark.
