As 30 years of energy and resource conservation in building culminates in a new flood of LEED-approved certifications, the green building movement is rapidly tipping into the mainstream. Efforts to build green, however, date back throughout history, with designs intended to shed water, capture sunlight and provide shelter seen decades ago.
