Rate of overweight Americans levels off after years of increases

After increases in the number of overweight Americans between 1995 and 2002, the rate has leveled off at 62% for the second year in a row, according to a new report. The report showed that more Americans are watching their calories, with 27% -- the highest rate in five years -- reporting that they are conscious of the number of calories in their meals.
