Mercury advisory hits tuna sales

Canned tuna sales have slumped in the wake of a 2004 FDA advisory about mercury levels in fish, according to this report in the San Antonio Current. Some grocery retailers are voluntarily posting information about mercury at fresh fish counters, a practice supported by the Food Marketing Institute.
