McCain, Obama detail plans on 401(k)s, small businesses

Both presidential candidates presented proposals for 401(k) savings plans and small businesses last week. Republican John McCain outlined a plan Friday that would offer a temporary suspension of a rule forcing people to withdraw from their 401(k)s and IRAs when they turn 70. Democrat Barack Obama, meanwhile, presented a proposal in which the SBA would give loans to small businesses that cannot obtain funding as a result of the credit crunch.
