Microsoft-RIM rumor makes sense to Street

Rumors aside, analysts say the crash in Research in Motion's stock price since the summer makes a Microsoft bid for the BlackBerry producer more realistic. RIM's shares tumbled from $150 in July to $55 before rising 15% Monday, and analysts say the company would give Microsoft a huge boost in the market for consumer and business smartphones, where it is under pressure from Google and Apple, among other rivals.
