U.S. solar industry finds bright spot in financial rescue

The solar-power industry received a big boost from the $700 billion financial-system rescue bill. Solar tax incentives will last for eight years, and are far meatier than previous incentives. "What Congress has just done is to ensure that the solar industry will be an economic engine in the U.S.," said Rhone Resch, president of the Solar Energy Industries Association.
