MITA, advocacy groups to rally against proposed imaging cuts

The Medical Imaging and Technology Alliance, together with 14 advocacy groups, on Wednesday was scheduled to gather to urge the Obama administration and Congress not to push through measures that promote additional cuts to advanced medical imaging tests. MITA also was planning to release a new report that highlights the continued decline in advanced imaging procedure volume growth, as well as a new survey that anticipates a decrease in imaging volume if the proposed imaging cuts are implemented.
