Opinion: Students should respect teachers or be disciplined

After a columnist witnessed the verbal abuse teachers endure from some of their students at an Indiana high school, an Indianapolis Star editorial is calling for harsher discipline for students who disrespect teachers. Under current rules, students are unlikely to be disciplined. "Ignoring such blatant disrespect undermines educators as professionals and as people," the editorial writers argue.
