HHS issues interim final rule on EHR specifications

HHS on Wednesday released an interim final rule that dropped two specifications on implementing electronic health records, which the agency mistakenly adopted earlier this year. The nixed specifications offered guidelines for reporting public health data to the CDC, rather than for using EHRs.
