Program aims to improve efficiency, quality of care

The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center has developed a program for electronic medical records to ensure health care providers comply with best practices in patient care and to reduce medical errors. Called SmartRoom, the program provides real-time health information about patients and flashes the identity and role of the attending staff on a wall-mounted monitor.
