Tesco asks suppliers to reduce carbon emissions on products

Tesco has asked 1,200 of its suppliers to lower the carbon emissions on the products the major retailer sources through them by 30% over the next decade. Tesco executive Richard Brasher said the letter was not a demand but rather part of an effort to gain the "help and collaboration" of its suppliers on environmental programmes.
