Future looks good for U.S. offshore-wind development, execs say

Despite financing and policy concerns over renewable energy, the future looks bright for U.S. offshore-wind development, according to executives and government officials at the American Wind Energy Association's Offshore WINDPOWER conference in Baltimore. Offshore wind farms in the Atlantic Ocean could generate more power than the nation's existing fleet of land-based wind turbines, said Interior Secretary Ken Salazar.
