Improved numbers expected when AMR reports earnings Monday

AMR Corp., the third-largest airline operator in the country, has indicated a positive earnings outlook for the third quarter. Analysts predict this could lead to AMR stock increasing to $5.65 per share. Although revenue growth is anticipated, fuel prices and other cost issues might result in another quarter of overall loses. In the second quarter, American Airlines lost more than $280 million.
