Ore. charters struggle amid loss of grant funding

Many charter schools across Oregon are struggling financially amid cuts to a federal grant that unexpectedly left them each with $225,000 less in state aid this year. Some charter officials said they have been forced to reduce costs by increasing class sizes and canceling planned purchases of laptops and other technology.
