United's new 787 Dreamliner now fresh off the assembly line

United Airlines announced Thursday that Boeing has finished assembly of the carrier's first 787 Dreamliner, and the company expects it will be the first U.S. carrier to receive the state-of-the-art jet. The plane, made mostly of light composite materials, was delivered to Japan's All Nippon Airways last month. United and Continental Airlines, which are in the process of merging, have each ordered 25 of the 787s.
