$7B wind transmission project approaches completion in Texas

A $7 billion transmission line project to supply wind power in Texas is moving toward completion under the state's Competitive Renewable Energy Zone effort. The transmission lines will span 3,600 miles and provide 18,500 megawatts of wind energy once they are activated by the end of December. This would add 50% to the wind energy capacity of Texas.
