Column: Customers would benefit from AA-US Airways merger

Capt. Bill Pollock, a US Airways pilot since 1985, said the merger of US Airways and American Airlines would benefit passengers. "Combining US Airways with American means our customers will have many more choices whether they want a non-stop, one-stop, or two-stop itinerary. It will mean more destinations through which to redeem frequent flier miles when taking their families on vacation. And it will mean improved customer service," he writes.
