Drug-delivering tube against HIV infection advances

A tube for intravaginal use promises one solution to HIV infection, dispensing an anti-retroviral drug through the vaginal lining. The new device, designed by Patrick Kiser, an associate professor of biomedical engineering at Northwestern University, has finished primate trials and is set for in-human studies.
