HSAs not a good option for all employees, consumer groups say

More employers are offering workers high-deductible health plans that include health savings accounts, leading some consumer groups to worry that employees aren't receiving adequate coverage. "We've actively opposed [HSAs] and regret they're in federal law," says Beth Capell, lobbyist for a consumer-advocacy group. The percentage of workers covered by HSAs has quadrupled since 2007, according to the Kaiser Family Foundation.
