Microsoft updates Windows Phone, expands developer support

Microsoft says its Windows Phone Update 3 will feature enhanced hardware support for 1080p screens and Snapdragon 800 processors, and that its new service Windows Phone Preview for Developers allows for faster firmware updates. "This means developers can use the extra time to exercise their code on the update and verify that their app works as expected. If they find issues, they can fix their app and get an update into the Windows Phone Store before customers get the latest OS update," Emil Protalinski writes.
