New contract is approved for Bell Helicopter union

A new five-year contract between Bell Helicopter and United Auto Workers Local 218 was ratified Sunday by 93% of voting members. The contract includes a change in holiday overtime and a 401(k)-style pension plan for new employees. Union employees had been working without a contract since June and staged a one-day walkout in September.
