St. Jude acquires Nanostim, gains EU nod for pacemaker

St. Jude Medical has paid $123.5 million for California-based Nanostim, whose battery-sized, wireless pacemaker recently won EU approval. St. Jude said it may pay Nanostim an additional $65 million if the tool hits additional regulatory and sales targets.
