U.S. digital ad spending on pharmaceuticals and health care will grow slowly over the next four years because of privacy and regulatory concerns, eMarketer reports. The prediction of $1.18 billion in digital ad spend for 2013 should grow to $1.47 billion by 2017 for this sector, placing it last among the top-10 industries by advertising outlay, with a compound annual growth rate averaging 5.9% from 2012 to 2017, per eMarketer.
