U.S. digital ad spending on health care, pharma to lag other industries

U.S. digital ad spending on pharmaceuticals and health care will grow slowly over the next four years because of privacy and regulatory concerns, eMarketer reports. The prediction of $1.18 billion in digital ad spend for 2013 should grow to $1.47 billion by 2017 for this sector, placing it last among the top 10 industries by advertising outlay, with a compound annual growth rate averaging 5.9% from 2012 to 2017, per eMarketer.
