Wal-Mart begins online grocery sales in Canada

Wal-Mart Canada is now selling a range of nonperishable groceries online, with the possibility of expanding into fresh and frozen items, said company spokeswoman Susan Schutta. Online grocery sales in Canada make up less than 1% of the overall grocery market, but could multiply by 10 by 2025, says Thom Blischok, chief retail strategist at consultancy Booz & Co., and Canadian retailers will be impacted by the shift.
