From work pants to music festival: A business with a social mission

Sarah Calhoun was inspired to start her company, which produces work clothes for women, after having a hard time finding women's heavy-duty pants. The reaction she's gotten from customers has taken her by surprise. "These are women working in a man's world, all the time up against crazy challenges," she said. "Something as simple as having a pair of pants that fit makes a world of difference for them." Since launching Red Ants Pants in 2006, Calhoun has also created a music festival and a foundation that supports small businesses and other causes.
