Yahoo buys Bread for social-digital ad tech

Yahoo has purchased the social-advertising startup Bread, according to Bread CEO Alan Chan. The ad-tech service allows for the creation of online billboard ads with a URL shortener. "We are thrilled to join Yahoo's advertising team in Sunnyvale where we will be working on developing next-generation solutions for social and mobile publishers and advertisers," Chan wrote in a blog post.
