Croatia Pulls Baxter Dialysis Filters After 23 Die

The Croatian government has ordered hospitals to stop using Baxter International's dialysis filters after 23 patients being treated with the devices died within a six-day period. Baxter says the "artificial connection" between the deaths and the dialyzers has not been substantiated.
