China's import demand dips

While Chinese exports were up 33% last month, imports were down 22%, compared to a year ago. Economists believe the slowdown in imports points to "a slowing economy but not too rapidly," a J.P. Morgan analyst said. China also posted a cumulative trade surplus for the first time this year.
