Netflix to cut prices as Amazon threat looms

Netflix founder and chief executive officer Reed Hastings says his company will cut prices of its DVD-rental-and-delivery service because a new competitor is on the horizon. Amazon.com, the world's largest Internet retailer, plans to offer a similar service, according to Hastings. Amazon has not confirmed its plans.
