Study finds brain affected by jumps in blood glucose

Acute hyperglycemia has a negative effect on cognitive brain function and moods among patients with type 2 diabetes, according to a U.K. study reported in the journal Diabetes Care. Researchers examined patients they had infused with glucose, testing their ability to process and retain information, and their concentration levels and moods.
