FDA aims to cut device failures with software forensics lab

The FDA's Center for Devices and Radiological Health has updated its "software forensics lab," which examines software design errors that are associated with adverse events in some medical devices. The agency hopes device makers will adopt static analyzers in their software development processes to avoid errors.
