FDA grants nod for Merck's HIV drug Isentress

The FDA has approved Merck & Co.'s HIV drug Isentress for HIV/AIDS patients who have failed to respond to other treatments. Isentress, which targets an enzyme that helps the virus infect human DNA, proved effective in combination with other drugs in treating patients with drug-resistant HIV strains.
