Foreign, domestic airlines to be included in JFK scheduling talks

Overseas carriers will join domestic airlines at a meeting to be held by the Transportation Department to address delays at John F. Kennedy airport. Air Transport Association President and CEO James May says members of his group "are fully committed to working closely with all stakeholders to address the challenges associated with the growing demand for air travel in and out of the New York area." May also reiterated that capacity improvement efforts must be accelerated -- including the New York airspace redesign -- and these must include corporate and commercial operators. "No one believes that just posting a 'no vacancy' sign at JFK is the right way forward," May said.
