ATA sues FAA over planned NYC slot auctions

The Air Transport Association announced Wednesday it had filed a federal lawsuit to halt the FAA's planned auction off takeoff and landing slots at three New York-area airports. "ATA's lawsuit challenges FAA's claim that slots are agency property that can be leased or otherwise disposed of under FAA's general property management authority," the association said.
