Deere shares tick upward on analyst's report

Deere & Co. shares rose 11.4% to $42.45 on an analyst's report of strong demand for the company's equipment. Robert McCarthy of Robert W. Baird & Co. noted that Deere's row crop tractor sales had increased 60% in September compared with last year. Harvester sales increased 58% in the same month, and four-wheel-drive tractor sales more than doubled.
