Experts: Large firms should look to smaller companies for innovation

Large medical-device firms would benefit from adopting the strategies of smaller companies in developing innovative technologies to hasten the market entry of their products, experts said. Bigger companies should consider assigning teams of researchers to work on a single project off-site, said James Mazzo, president and CEO of Advanced Medical Optics.
