School activities don't reduce obesity among children

A data review found school-based activities have no impact on body mass index or other measures of obesity, including fat percentage, skin-fold thickness, lean mass, waist circumference and waist-hip ratio. The researchers said school-based physical activity is important but will not help reduce the incidence of childhood obesity.
