Study links radiation to risk of second breast cancer

Danish researchers say younger women who have radiation following breast cancer surgery have a higher risk of developing cancer in the opposite breast. The risk is even greater if the woman has a family history of the disease. Experts, however, noted that radiation techniques have improved significantly over the techniques presented in the study.
